Information we handle
We use your email address and account identifier for registration and sign-in. When you save a link, we store its URL, extracted article content, generated summary, mind map and theme embedding in your account library. We also store reading progress, favorites, archive status, language preference, and processing state. A link itself can contain personal information. Pending saves and some app preferences are kept on your device.
Why and where it is processed
We use this information to maintain your library, resume saves, generate AI reading material, and display the theme-based Galaxy. Supabase provides authentication, database storage, and backend execution. Our backend fetches the source article and may send its URL to Jina AI Reader for extraction. It sends extracted text and selected page images to Google Gemini API for summaries, mind maps, and embeddings. Your data may be processed outside your country. The source website also receives ordinary requests when a link is fetched.
Google's permitted use of submitted content depends on the Gemini API service tier. Until Bunian Studio confirms the billing classification of this beta, assume that content submitted to Gemini may be used under Google's unpaid-service terms, including to improve its services. Jina and its successor's processing is governed by their current terms. We cannot promise immediate deletion from these providers after an item is removed in Lyra Prism.
Your choices
Saving a link is optional. The app asks you to confirm external AI processing before a new save. You can mark articles read, favorite or archive them, and remove them from your library. Removing an individual article hides it and stops further app processing, but is currently a soft deletion in our database. To delete your account, use Settings → Delete Account. Confirmed account deletion removes your authentication account and linked profile and article rows from the live Supabase database. Provider backups, security logs, and previously submitted material may remain under those providers' policies. Email us for another privacy request or help with deletion.
Security and sharing
Account access rules restrict library records to their owner, and backend processing and deletion check the authenticated account. We share submitted data with the service providers described above to deliver app features. The current iOS beta does not include advertising or cross-app tracking integrations. We do not offer a public sale of your account library.
